Students are required to design a handout for parents in a brochure format. This handout would be one that a center would distribute to potential clients and future families. The brochure should represent professionalism and contain all of the pertinent information that a center would want a new client to know. The page requirement for this assignment will be one 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper. It will include, but not be limited to the following: -information parents need to know about the center, such as, fees, hours and ages of the children, the philosophy, program information etc. (research other brochures for additional information that a brochure should contain) -a brief discussion of separation anxiety and suggested ways to help the parent and child -a brief discussion of parent involvement; how and why it is encouraged -a brief discussion of how ongoing contact between the parent and teacher will be maintained and why it is encouraged
