This essay argues about “The Professor’s House” (1925) by Willa Cather I want to compare this novel with “The Great Gatsby” by Fitzgerald I want to say how both novel depicted american society but the real america lies in the professor’s house. I want to have 3 main arguments in the essay. 1. explain how both novel depicts american society of their time. (Similarity and difference) 2. explain why “the great gatsby” end up as a fantasy. (Gatsby was everyone’s dream but he was just a shallow that didnt exist) In the other hand, professor’s house characters were real. 3. explain how the fact trump got elected shows that most people in america is living in the world of “professor’s house”
