Option #2: Personality Differences Have you ever worked with an individual that rubbed you the wrong way? Or have you ever worked for a leader who often only takes the advice of individuals whom he or she is like? Honestly, it is not uncommon for individuals to prefer people who are like them. In fact, you might have heard the phrase, “Birds of a feather flock together.” While we find comfort in those who are like us, organizations and teams cannot operate with individuals who all have the same personalities, thought processes, mindsets, etc. For this critical thinking activity, do the following: Explain why diversity, in terms of personality differences, is important in organizations. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of three personality instruments.
